Tournament 1 – Geezers Pickleball. Open to 16 individuals at least 70 years old. Each player will play a minimum of 6 doubles games in a Round Robin format. Winners will be determined based on total individual points won. ENTER!
Tournament 2 – Dinkeroo. This isn't “real” Pickleball, but it's a fun challenge for all. The play happens exclusively in the kitchen, and every shot must land there. In previous years we have had rallies of more than 70 hits. Its great practice for your soft game.
Open to individuals 12 years or older. We are looking for 16 dinkers to fill the roster. Each player will play a minimum of 6 doubles games in a Round Robin format. Winners will be determined based on total individual points won. ENTER!
The Rules of Dinkeroo Play
1. The Kitchen Boundary: All shots (including serves) are hit from behind the Kitchen line, and the ball must bounce in the opponent's Kitchen to be in play.
2. The Bounce Rule: Every ball must bounce before you hit it.
3. The Step Rule: You can step into the Kitchen to return a shot, but both of your feet must step out before hitting your next shot.
4. Patience over Power: Slamming or driving the ball at your opponent results in a fault. Points are won through unforced errors, not "kill" shots.
