Mixed Doubles Results
Last weekend saw the running of the mixed doubles tournament. Tournament Director Roger Miles continues to innovate and gave us the Compass format this time around. Compass gives us one overall winner that goes 4-0 and then 5 runners up that finish 3-1 in the 16 team field. Our grand champion was Larry Flowers & Binki Thalheimer. They defeated Pat Bixenman and Susan Dickerson so they’re first runners up. Our other runners up were Erich Meyer & Kolleen Qualls, Ryan Gibbs & Kathryn Cook, David Smith & Nancy Hughes, and Aidan Bixenman and Gig Blitz.

The final tournament of the season will be the womens doubles tournament, September 12th, at Mount Vernon. Registration not quite ready yet, but stay tuned.

I’m going to feel real dumb if one of these was a brother & sister or something.
