EPC All Members Meeting is next week
Your Evergreen Pickleball Club board of directors, 11 people who work hard to make being a pickleball player in our area a good experience, are inviting any and all of you to attend the annual All Members Meeting a week from tomorrow, Tuesday, Dec. 9, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at Evergreen Library.
In addition to electing/re-electing four members of the board, we will have guest speakers representing two new pickleball enterprises in our area.
Ashley Hermes and Mary Lidmila of Mountain Mama's Sports Complex, planned for the Conifer area in 2026, and a representative from Club 45 at the “tennis bubble” in Evergreen will be giving brief presentations and answering questions.
Those running for first-time positions on the EPC board Todd Landrum and Valerie McVay. Jeri Herskovits and Kathy Kincannon are running to serve another term. All four were profiled in the Nov. 20 EPC newsletter, which you (or at least most people) can find on our website.
Any EPC member in good standing (paid your dues) may run for the board. However, you can opt to run right up until the vote on Dec. 9.
At the All Members Meeting, EPC members will receive a financial update and information on membership and newsletter subscriber numbers and plans for our tournaments in 2026, as well as other items of interest.
Meeting rooms A and B at the library have been reserved from 12:30 to 2 p.m, so there will be enough space for about 80 people.
A note for those attending the EPC Holiday Gala this Thursday
If you are planning to participate in the dessert contest, please bring one or two dozen individual servings and put your name and phone number on the bottom of your serving plate, The coveted prize is a 75-minute massage from Dawn Satchell, who knows how to hit all the sore spots because she plays pickleball too.
For the “Wing-Ding Ring Thing,” you’re asked to bring $25 cash for a ticket to compete for bottles of wine retailing in the $40-$70 range. Proceeds will of course be donated to EChO.
